Notes on the run
Hello Everyone and welcome to a new Rotary year
As I said on Thursday, "We do have work to do, yes, we cannot hide from that fact"
We do need to have new people to strengthen what we all want to achieve. But before we invite people round to "our house", we need to do a little dusting and polishing
There are a few things I would like to try to start doing.
- Having a service activity on the horizon that we can invite prospective members to. So rather than saying, come to a meeting, we can say hey! come along and help out with...
- Having consistent messaging. Branding for a better word. A lot of clubs have a very consistent way of announcing things online, I'd like to try this. There will be a little more work but I think it will help,
- Keeping meetings to time, great for people to hang out afterwards and chat but I would like the actual meetings to run from 12:30 to 1:30.
It was a great night last Thursday, good to see so many smiling faces and happy energy. It's always good to see that kind of energy and I want to see what we can do to replicate it
Thank you to Russell for steering us through the last year, I hope that you have learnt and grown from the experience, there is always something that this will teach us.
This week we have a presentation by the outgoing District Governor, Rob Uhl, very interesting to have her speak at this time!
We are looking at moving the tour of the National Gallery to Friday rather than Thursday. I hope this will work.
As always feel free to bring up any issues with me and we will see what we can do to get on top of them
My next run is the City2Surf in August too!
Thanks
Warrick
From the Editor (until midnight)
This is my last Bulletin. I’ve enjoyed bringing it to members over the past two-and-a-bit years. Thanks to Bill for taking on this task, starting with the next Bulletin, I wish him well.

Last meeting: our Changeover Dinner, 26 July
We had a great changeover dinner last Thursday. Here's some photos. As I don't know the names of all in the photos, I've limited captions to photos of the formalities.
