All members who visited the Museum enjoyed an excellent meal and guided tour of some of the exhibits. Well done Olek and his team.
I have had an update from Desmond Woods, the President of the Canberra Rotary Club re our combined meeting on Monday, the 7th of June. The meal cost will be $40 that day and we need to know as soon as possible who will be attending . They anticipate that up to 120 could be at this meeting. We must be seated by 12.15 pm for a 12.30 pm start. The GG will arrive at 12.15 pm and it is not the done thing to arrive after him and his wife . The best approach I feel would be anyone attending pay your $40 to Ross in advance, then he can transfer the money in one payment to the Canberra Club.
This coming Thursday Michael Rabey will speak to us on the Peace Pole project and bring us up to date on the progress of this program. Robert Laine will also speak on his shortened overland trip to the outback.
