Last Thursday was our last lunchtime meeting at the Commonwealth Club for this Rotary year. Our excellent guest speaker and fellow Rotarian Chris Edwards gave us a rundown on the Aussie Rotary Peace Walk that was held in March and how it was planned to make the event bigger and better next year. Our Club will again be expected to play a major role in the running of the event.
Next Thursday is a ZOOM meeting when our guest will be Tammy Shepherd who will inform us on a group called Mercy Ships and how they operate throughout the Third World.
Any member who is not a Centurion and would still like to join this elite group this Rotary year can still do so by donating $100 to the Rotary Foundation via Ross Brown before the end of June.
All members should have an invitation by now to our Change-over Dinner at the Royal Canberra Golf Club, and we ask that the cost o $60 per head be paid to Ross well in advance of the 1st July.

THE PEACE PROJECT
Would you like to consider becoming a guide for tours to the Canberra Rotary Peace Bell? We are planning another training day for new guides or for those that just wish to know more about what is happening. Please let me know of your interest and once we know who wishes to be involved we will set a date on a Saturday morning.
