Welcome to another News Notes. There’s a spread of photos from our Christmas party last Thursday, information on the new Peace Bell in Wodonga, details of this week’s meeting and the roster (please check this) and information on coming events (some very soon). Finally, a warning on relying on the internet for information.

Last week’s meeting: the Club Christmas Party!
The host with the most, Russell
Chef Eric at the BBQ
The salad spread: sweets were still to come out!

Club members and guests enjoyed a great evening at Russell’s place last Thursday. Great food and great company. A special thanks to Faye and Tony who kindly loaned their spare Rotary jackets to guests who were not prepared for the cold that evening.  If anyone knows the whereabouts of Faye’s apron (worn by Eric while cooking the BBQ), please let her know.

Michael Rabey congratulates Jos Weemaes on the project
The plaque beside the Rotary Peace Bell.
Delighted to finally be able to make a visit to the Rotary Peace Bell Albury Wodonga. This project was directed by Jos Weemaes of the Rotary Club of Wodonga West. The project had wide community support as well as from the City Councils of Albury and Wodonga. The Rotary Peace Bell is located within Belvoir Park not far from the Wodonga CBD. If you are passing through take a rest stop and enjoy the park and bell gifted as a symbol of Peace to all. Well done Rotary Wodonga West!
